I’ve been delighted with the response to the new classes based on six chapters from my two books, Living and Leaving My Legacy, Vols. I and ll. I am currently planning a new series with six different chapters, which will begin in October. For more information, please email me at MerleRSaferstein@gmail.com or contact me here.

Class Feedback

“Both the conversations and my reflections afterward were helpful and meaningful.”

“Merle does a wonderful job of creating a safe space and asking great open-ended questions.”

“I learned something new from each of the six sessions and from every one of the participants. Seeing things through the eyes of others is profoundly illuminating.”

“The breakout room settings were especially interesting as they offered us the opportunity to spend some private time with other participants, creating connections between one another that were both enlightening and intimate.”

“The topics chosen from your Living and Leaving My Legacy books provided the participants with thoughtful stepping stones to great conversation.”

“Under Merle’s expert guidance, carefully considered facilitation, compassion and understanding, this group became a cohesive and productive learning platform.”

“I really enjoyed the group and the important and meaningful conversations Merle led. I will recommend this class to everyone!”

If you’re planning to take Merle Saferstein’s class on how to leave a legacy, don’t expect your assignment to prompt a nostalgic stroll down memory lane. Once the retired educator begins asking pointed questions, the course will feel more like emotional boot camp-in a good sort of way. She’ll demand that you dig into your hidden hopes, examine your most important values and determine if you’re truly putting your effort where your heart is. Ana Veciana-Suarez, Miami Herald

Books by Merle

For over forty-eight years, I have kept journals. Over a period of fourteen years, I went back through my journals, read them, and took excerpts from these 359 journals on approximately seventy topics. As a legacy journaling project, I have written Living and Leaving My Legacy, Vols. I and II. Please watch this video which explains why my journals will become my legacy

The wisdom that comes from living is a gift to share. Unlike journaling we do for ourselves, legacy journaling is written for the benefit of others.
